Join Elite Sportswear and help create the products worn by the US National Team, International Olympians, and World Champions. We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join the Elite Team at our Reading Headquarters.

Position Overview:

The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will own the payroll function within Elite Sportswear. This roll will also drive the benefits facet of our organization, collaborating with brokers and vendors to provide top-quality, innovative options and programming. This position will be hands on with payroll process and benefits enrollment within our HRIS platform.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process accurate, audited, and timely bi-weekly payroll for company employees within multiple job sites
  • Maintain files for all payroll entries
  • Maintain accuracy of all employee data in payroll and time-tracking system
  • Enter hires, status changes, terminations, tax, and direct deposit changes
  • Process wage garnishments
  • Prepare, audit, and distribute payroll reports
  • Document and update procedures as they relate to payroll, benefits, and Paylocity
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Perform data entry and/or approval for the HRIS system including initial new hire processing, as well as employment status changes, personal data, compensation, benefits, performance information, tax deductions, I-9 information, transfers, termination dates and reasons, compliance, etc.
  • Verifies completeness of employee information in accordance with established procedures, checklists, and audits
  • Is the company expert on all benefit offerings, directs the presentation of benefits for New Hires and during Open Enrollment
  • Assists employees with general inquiries related to overall benefits, including various leaves such as STD, LTD, FMLA, policies, & procedures
  • Ensures that all employees have necessary follow-up verbal and written clarity on benefits information and enrollments as not to miss required new enrollment and qualifying event timelines for enrollment
  • Drives annual enrollment planning in all company locations
  • Responsible for providing routine ad-hoc reports as needed, along with creating a reporting calendar for leadership
  • Takes an active role in the development of health and wellness programs for employees
  • Maintains appropriate compliance and regulatory postings, is the subject matter expert on complianceRequirements:
  • 3-5 years of payroll processing experience
  • A background in finance, or benefits administration, with a strong grasp of the robust capabilities of HRIS platforms, ideally experience working within Paylocity
  • An understanding of benefit plans, legal compliance, and ERISA regulations
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, strongly preferred
  • 401K audit experience
  • Experience filing 5500
  • Highest degree of confidentiality expected
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to navigate large data sets within Excel
  • Ability to analyze and present data to all levels within the company
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through is required
  • Excellent verbal and written skills – the ability to communicate within various levels of an organization
