Join Elite Sportswear and help create the products worn by the US National Team, International Olympians, and World Champions. We are looking for a UX/UI Web Designer to join the Elite Team in our Omni Cheer San Diego office.

Position Overview:

The UX/UI Web Designer will be a strong contributor to driving sales to and on the website. Areas of focus will include design for email, landing pages, homepage/site content, UX/UI design, information architecture, user research, and customer journey. The Designer also maintains seasonal refreshes for the company websites, adhering to existing design templates and brand guidelines, designing for various projects and initiatives across channels. This position reports to the Director of eCommerce.

Duties & Responsibilities:

General:

  • Design various email marketing campaigns using both existing templates and develop new templates as needed
  • Translate design templates for the e-commerce site for our mobile shopping experience (smart phone and tablet)
  • Collaborate with Art and Marketing teams to ensure consistency of messaging for each initiative across the brand
  • Inject seasonal inspiration into appropriate projects and keep current with trends so design reflects marketplace and cultural relevance
  • Work on site enhancements that improve the customer experience (ex: wish list, new email/account sign up, checkout)
  • Attend seasonal planning meetings and weekly marketing, web production/merchandising, creative review and content meetings. Ensure key initiatives for each season are executed online
  • Design and prepare assets for production for use in a variety of media: wireframes/mockups, desktop web, mobile web, mobile apps, email or marketing materials
  • Present and defend creative work to cross-functional team and business owners
  • Partner with development team to ensure best possible technical solutions
  • Manages our sublimation design interface and content.
  • Manages our Scene 7 interface, vignettes and content.
  • Ability to manage outside vendors and resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
  • Mac OS
  • 5+ years professional experience (E-commerce and/or Retail experience preferred)
  • Expert level proficiency with Adobe Ps, Ai is a must
  • Front end web development experience (Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, Javascript, WordPress, TFS) is a must
  • Strong working knowledge of responsive design principals is a must
  • You will be accountable for setting and maintaining all brand guidelines and design standards
  • Solid understanding of UX principals – Landing pages, email, mobile and banner ads.
  • Direct photo retouching, resizing, digital optimization and color correction of images for presentation on the web
  • Clean design aesthetic
  • Online fluency (websites, blogs, etc.) and the curiosity to learn more
  • Knowledge of trends and best-practices in the design landscape
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative personality
  • Highly organized, with meticulous attention to details and deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt and re-prioritize in response to growing company needs
  • Ability to synthesize research, market trends, competitive data, etc. into substantial successful online experiences
  • Keen eye for design and a passion for a quality user experience, from high-level concept to pixel-level detail
  • Understanding of A/B testing a must
  • Ability to lead and manage projects
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a collaborative environment moving swiftly under tight deadlines
