Join Elite Sportswear and help create the products worn by the US National Team, International Olympians, and World Champions. We are currently hiring for a Senior Vice President of Field Sales at our Reading Headquarters.

Position Overview:

The Senior VP of Field Sales will be the senior leader of sales for Elite Sportswear managing all territory reps and go-to-market strategy. He or she will have overall corporate responsibility for establishing the Gymnastics and Swim rep sales targets to meet the company’s aggressive growth objectives. This executive will partner closely with marketing, finance, R&D, and Elite Sportswear partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Business Administration a plus
  • Fifteen plus years of experience in sales for a high growth consumer-focused product company or business with revenues over $100 million
  • Five years of senior level sales experience in a top tier global consumer goods or apparel company
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Track record of growing top line revenue with strong financial discipline and bottom-line orientation (EBITDA, disciplined cash flow management, etc.)

Essential Functions:

Sales Strategy

  • Analyze and evaluate current sales activities; develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of sales programs
  • Develop the annual and long-term field sales strategy for Gymnastics and Swim to exceed business plan objectives
  • Establish a transparent culture that rewards sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Work with the CCO, CEO and CFO and the leadership team to set clear expectations for the business plan and deliver on goals for revenue, P&L, and cash flow
  • Lead sales market research and competitor analysis
  • Determine the optimal mix of channel distribution strategies to meet the company’s short and long-term objectives
  • Conduct and analyze market research to determine and enhance overall competitive positioning for Elite Sportswear’s current brands and brands the company acquires in the future

Channel Strategy

  • Work with category sales leaders to attract, lead, and drive performance through a large team of independent distributors
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing to Identify and activate opportunities for Elite Sportswear to cultivate and grow relationships with key high-volume retailers
  • Work with key leaders and field sales representatives to secure, structure and monetize retail distribution deals
  • Penetrate key strategic retail and high-volume distribution accounts

Sales Process Management

  • Direct implementation and execution of sales processes, policies, and practices
  • Establish key metrics and KPIs for the sales team and leverage analytics to extract insight into the business and drive decision making
  • Ensure communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets budget requirements
  • Create a feedback loop for sales to share information from the field back to the corporate office to guide future sales, product, and marketing decisions

M&A Leadership and Support

  • Partner with executive team to evaluate acquisition targets
  • Assess risk involved with integrating acquisition targets
  • Integrate sales teams from acquired companies and restructure teams as necessary to create a cohesive and well-coordinated sales organization
  • Identify opportunities for synergies across organizations
  • Keeps CCO apprised regularly of potential risks and opportunities

Talent Management

  • Collaborate with Human Resources to inspire, attract, develop, and retain a team of “A” caliber full time and contract sales leaders while managing non-performers up or out
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to identify gaps in the organization and recruit performers to fill out the capability set
  • Establish a culture that values training and continuous development
  • Hold the team accountable for results and make sure they have clear goals that tie into the company’s overall business goals

Planning and Budgeting Leadership

  • Act as an integral member of the team and play a significant role in strategic planning and budgeting
  • Develop and prepare sales plan updates

Skills and Abilities:

  • Significant sales transformation for a company or business; Recent experience establishing processes, metrics, and technology to help drive and more optimally manage a dispersed sales force
  • Experience leading sales for a company that has opened up new channels of distribution and has grown and diversified its product mix
  • Strong analytical orientation and strives to continually improve the accuracy of sales planning and reporting
  • Experience implementing a metrics driven sales culture; supports ERP change and implementation process as needed
  • Strong computer skills including use of CRM sales database and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience cultivating and grow long term and profitable relationships with key high-volume retailers, both pure-play online and omni-channel retailers
  • National account sales experience PLUS sales leadership experience for a business that sells through independent retailers and/or sales leadership over a network of independent distributors
  • Ability to immediately build relationships and gain respect from members of Elite Sportswear’s team
  • Willingness to “dig in” and support sales process for Elite Sportswear, at all levels

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent travel to partner with sales representatives in the field is required
  • Manual dexterity of fingers and hands to use keyboard and office equipment
  • Occasional standing and walking
